One week away! Join us for a night of storytelling in Brooklyn

Ursa Live, The Center for Fiction

Dear friends,

We’ll keep this brief — we are just one week away from Ursa’s first-ever live storytelling event in Brooklyn!

Join us Wednesday, July 9, at The Center for Fiction for a night of storytelling hosted by Deesha Philyaw, Dawnie Walton, and Kiese Laymon. We’ll be celebrating two amazing authors and their debut collections:

Carrie R. Moore, author of the short story collection MAKE YOUR WAY HOME, and

Lawrence Burney, author of the essay collection NO SENSE IN WISHING

As Ursa celebrates three years of podcasting with Ursa Short Fiction and Reckon True Stories, we’re excited to connect with everyone IRL. The event starts at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm), and will be followed by drinks and book signings with Carrie R. Moore and Lawrence Burney.

There are a limited number of tickets still available, so make sure to get yours now:

If you can’t join us in-person, you can also purchase livestream tickets.

See you soon, NYC!!

– Deesha, Dawnie, Kiese, and Mark
